WHICH CHURCH DO U GO 2?

There was a period when I used to get annoyed at people asking me what church I went to. First of all, I don’t go to church. I am the church so I can’t go to myself. Secondly there is only one church and that is His church, so when I was asked the question I used to reply “his church”.

The usually response was “yes, but which church is that?”

My reply was “His church, you know where Jesus said he would build his church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it.”

Most people were still bewildered by the answer as they could only compute church as the Baptist church or the Anglican or Catholic or whatever.

This begs the question “what is the most important to you, your denomination or the kingdom of God.””. If it is your denomination you should be ashamed as Jesus did not tell us to seek first our denomination or build it.

The bottom line is that whatever the reason for their inception, denominations are a vehicle Satan uses to divide us. Too many of the 35,000 we have today, are the result of splits because someone could not get their own way, so they picked up the bat and ball and went elsewhere. In one town that I know of there are 32 different Pentecostal churches in a population of 20,000.

Occasionally, they are the result of no other choice as my church was in England, which was started by ex Brethren Elders who had been thrown out of their assembly because they were baptised in the spirit and spoke in tongues.

First and foremost your loyalty should be to the Kingdom of God and your energy should be expelled in establishing and building it. Your denomination is only a vehicle and should never take precedence over the Kingdom. If denominational loyalty prevents you from doing God’s will, ditch your denomination. If you don’t you will go round in circles until you do what God has told you to do.

The other aspect of denominations and the question “which church do you go to” is spiritual racism. Most people ask you the question because they want to know if you are the same as them. If you are not then it is unlikely they will give you the time of day. Not a pretty picture which is not surprising as denominations are not of God. How do we know this? Because Jesus was quite clear that he wanted us to be one. That is what he prayed in the gospel of John.

Therefore we cannot defend anything that separates us for if we do, we are agreeing that it is OK to acknowledge the work of Satan as acceptable and we give him authority to prevent God’s will happening.
