The biggest war that is happening today is the war of words. The pen is mightier than the sword we are told. This is in fact true because the anti-God people have made a concerted effort and have succeeded mostly to take control of the media so they control the words that people read.

These people mainly support left wing ideology which is opposed to anything not left wing. That means Christianity in its purest form is fair game for the columnists. In fact, faith bashing is par for the course as it gives them numerous opportunities to deride faith and make their own religion of secular humanism the predominant forum for ideas.

This means that to be pro-abortion (pro-death) is logical; to be non supportive of homosexual rights is to be intolerant; that John Howard and George Bush or anyone not left wing are always wrong; that sex is good with anyone at anytime; that children don’t have a right to a mum and dad if it means that it stands in the way of perversion; that the legalised killing of babies should be welcomed; you mustn’t blame the perpetrator of crime because they had a bad childhood; the dramatic increase in child abuse is only due to more reporting the fact; disciplining kids is violence; kids mustn’t experience failure in school as it will affect their self esteem; ideology has to take preference over fact; you must never let the truth get in the way of a good story; it must be right because I said so; there are no absolutes (except the ones I make); tolerance must take precedent over sin; God is love so everyone is right (unless you support God’s view of it); the theory of evolution is science and intelligent design is…theory.

A daily diet of godless humanism is deliberately fed to the masses who in turn believe that this is the truth. Even worse, there are people and churches that call themselves Christians who have swallowed the religion of secular humanism lock, stock and barrel and then proceed to make the word of God fit in with the tenants of this apostate religion.

Add to this churches that have no idea what the church is about. In one church newsletter I read that it was such and such a church and that it belonged to so and so denomination. I thought that the church belonged to God but obviously not in this case, so I guess God has to get permission to attend here.

Just words you say? Yes they are but powerful ones at that which divide and separate believers from each other. What is the remedy? Start telling the truth. It is his church not ours so lets start billing ourselves as the church in whatever town we are in the same as they did in the New Testament.

Start cross pollinating instead of staying in our religious enclaves where never the twain shall meet. Start acting like we were one church and united. Start esteeming each other better than ourselves, instead of being like some churches I know who have said we don’t have to cross pollinate because we have everything we need.

Start using words that show we have a servant spirit, not a “master over” spirit full of arrogance and pride. It is a war of words today and none more so than in the church and Satan is using them to his advantage left, right and centre.
