WHAT'S WRONG?

Well you might ask. What is wrong with having a church that has paid professional leaders?

What is wrong with having a church that is loaded with programmes for all and sundry?

What is wrong with having a modern, well designed meeting place?

What is wrong importing leadership from other towns and other churches?

What is wrong with having a church that is devoid of Holy Spirit power?

What is wrong with a leadership that doesn’t want you to seek God and act on his word?

What is wrong with a church that most of the time stops people from functioning in their anointing unless you are a paid professional?

What is wrong with a church that is happy with man made appointment rather than God given anointing?

What is wrong with a church that expects or asks its leadership to dress up in fancy dress every time there is a meeting?

What is wrong with a church that prays to dead saints rather than a living God?

What is wrong with a church that is more concerned with being inoffensive rather than on fire for God?

What is wrong with a church that wants its members to have plenty of material blessings but very few spiritual blessing?

What is wrong with a church that preaches new age prosperity and superiority?

What is wrong with a church that spends most money on itself?

The fact is nothing if that is what you want and being entertained is more important than losing your life for the sake of the gospel.

The fact is nothing if religious ritual is more important than going out on a limb with the supernatural.

The fact is nothing if the church is only interested in maintaining the status quo instead of doing exploits for God in response to his leading.

The fact is nothing if the church’s main aim is to keep people spiritual babies rather mature men and women in Christ who will die daily.

However, if we are talking about being an expression of God’s kingdom on earth as in “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” everything is wrong about today’s church as in most cases it is a self supporting exclusive club only interested in its own religious kingdom.

Its devotion to the kingdom of God and its desire to be God’s word here on earth whatever the cost will not happen outside of total obedience to his revealed word and an abandonment of anything that is contrary to that word.

For that to happen, all the foregoing will have to be put on the alter of self sacrifice and ego will have to be nailed to the cross in the realisation that it is going to be what God wants, not what we want that will make it happen. Most of the foregoing is contrary to God’s revealed word, let alone his word that is yet to be revealed in prophecy.

Doing the same thing every Sunday morning won’t make anything happen except stifle the power of the Holy Spirit and exclude God from our lives.
