ABORTION: LICENCED TO KILL

Right now we are in the middle of an abortion struggle. The State government in Victoria wants to make it easier for women to kill their babies up to 24 weeks gestation. Under the new law, a woman can wake up in the morning and think “this pregnancy is a pain; I think I will get rid of it.” No questions will be asked if the baby is up to 24 weeks old.

Over 24 weeks, you have to get the approval of 2 doctors. Of course the pro-death lobby is incensed that this will be the case as they claim it impinges on the right of women to decide what happens to their body.

Of course, the usual lies are being peddled by the pro-death movement to get what they want.

Lie number one. Having an abortion is no different to having a tooth pulled. It will be all over in a day so why worry. This lie ignores the fact that it has been recorded that some women suffer trauma even 20 years after the abortion. Some women, every time they see a child which is the same age as what the one they aborted would have been feel guilty and depressed.

Lie number two. It is only a blob. If that is the case, why is it there are thousands of photos taken with modern medical technology that make it quite clear it is a baby, moving about in the womb and doing various things like sucking its thumb? Why is it that when a baby is killed in the womb it screams as in the video “The Silent Scream.”

Lie number three. It is better to kill the ’blob’ than bring it into the world where it will be unwanted. Of course, they conveniently ignore the thousands of couples who are desperate to adopt a baby because they are infertile. Because of this fact, there would be very few ‘unwanted’ babies.

Lie number four. I can’t afford to bring a baby into this world. The fact of the matter is that there are thousands, even millions of families that live from hand to mouth on a day to day basis and they are the happiest families in the world. The fact is, the larger the family, the happier they seemed to be. I read about one family of 17 kids who loved every minute of it from the oldest to the youngest. The older kids are going to make fabulous parents because they have already spent several years being one to their younger brothers and sisters.

Lie number five. Women agonise over their decision to kill their baby. If that is the case, why are there women who have had seven abortions? How much agonising has she done? More a case of “oh, I am pregnant again. I had better have another abortion”.

The abortion industry has produced a holocaust of unprecedented proportions as there have been more babies killed in the womb than all the people killed in all the wars in the 20th century.

In Israel alone, they have killed more children by abortion than were killed in the holocaust by Hitler.

The tragedy of abortion is that it is a tragedy of monumental proportions and the fact that there are people out there, especially women who demand free and unfettered abortion so that a woman’s right to kill is not impeded.

It says in the bible that Satan three main operations are to kill, steal and destroy. In abortion he does all three. For that reason, abortion is never an answer.
