HOW MANY PEOPLE

How many people does it take to save the world? A million? 10 million? A 100 million? None of the above as they say.

It only takes two or three. Yes that’s right, two or three. What on earth are you talking about? How can two or three save the world?

Jesus said that where two or three are gathered together in my name, I will be there. What is the significant part of this scripture? It is not the two or three. The significant part of this scripture is that fact that Jesus will be there. Not in person but through the Holy Spirit.

Whether you meet in two’s or three’s or thousands, they key is the manifest presence of God. For that to happen you have to worship and I don’t mean sing numerous songs vigorously.

Worship is complete surrender or as the Hebrew says ‘prostrate before your conqueror.” When you come together whatever the number, unless you ‘worship’ (surrender yourself) the end result will be minus the manifest presence of God.

There may be a manifest presence of religion, or ritual, or man made organisation, but there won’t be the manifest presence of God.

What is the manifest presence of God?

It is when his presence fills the room so that everything else pales by comparison. It gives you a sense of your ungodliness and his holiness. A sense of the fact that he is worthy and you are unworthy. A sense of the fact that you don’t need anything else except Jesus.

It has the effect of making you to want to stop what you are doing and to soak in the power of his presence. I say that because his power and presence are synonymous. Like love and marriage, you can’t have one without the other.

Two or three that are surrendered to Jesus will get a visitation from God through the Holy Spirit. 3,000 who are not surrendered to God won’t. They will have to content themselves with man made systems and rituals, which in the main change nothing.

Two or three surrendered to God can change their known world. 3,000 who are not surrendered can’t. Like days gone by, we need a Gideon’s 300, not his 30,000. Revival rarely starts with big numbers. It is more likely to happen with two or three.

If you are bold and brave enough to wave the white flag of surrender, not to Satan, but to God, get prepared for the manifest presence of God. It will take you where no man has gone before.
