We are told in no uncertain terms that state education is to be free and secular which means to be concerned with the temporal things of this world which in other words means beyond death…nothing.
The president of the Australian Secular Society said that secular values are the basis of a harmonious society. The word ‘harmonious’ means “forming a consistent or agreeable whole free of dissent.”
What are the facts about this ‘harmonious’ society. Ever increasing numbers of abused children; increasing violence and thuggery by alcohol fuelled bullies; where (costly) free love is a right despite the unprecedented spread of sexually transmitted diseases; where a new paedophile web site get millions of hits; where almost anyone can bring a child into this world despite the detrimental effect of the unstable relationship (that is if there is one); where the government sanctions the murder of nearly 100,000 babies a year in the name of inconvenience and yet fines and jails people who harm animals; where Centrelink pursues the poor for their last dollar and gives gifts to the rich.
That of course doesn’t include the increasing number of young people committing suicide and I won’t even mention Robert Mugabe, the megalomaniacal dictator of Zimbabwe.
If that is harmony, what on earth is society going to be like if it not ‘harmonious?”
On top of all this harmony in society we now find out that Australia is a very strung out nation with at least 50% very strained by one aspect of life not to mention that 46% of all Workcover stress claims are by teachers.
I went to a teacher PD where a weird and wacky woman pontificated that everybody was really intrinsically good. She obviously had not met the schoolyard bully or the bullying principal who was full of his own self importance.
If you had to characterise the president of the Secular Society or this weird and wacky woman you would say at least they were 'delusional'. The sort that cannot face reality.
Should we be surprised at all this? Of course not as the bible prophesied that it would all happen. This is what Timothy’s second letter says….
Don't be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God.
WOW!! Who says the bible doesn’t know what it is talking about. Are we going to believe delusional members of a secular society who obviously haven’t a clue about life or the bible which is spot on?
Only a fool would ignore the obvious. But then the bible does say that a fool says in his heart there is no God. Sorry mate, you can’t feed an ostrich with its head in the sand.
